Pulsating hearts, keeping time with the dribbling of a ball. The alternating hush and roar of the crowd, as their champions fight for glory. The signs are clear - BOSM is here.
The 27th edition of the BITS Open Sports Meet, wholly organized and managed by the students of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science - Pilani (one of India's premier technical colleges) brings with it more excitement, more innovation and more competition. Hosted in BITS' own iconic campus in Pilani, Rajasthan, this year's edition promises to set a new bar for excellence.
BOSM is conducted with a firm belief that sports is an inalienable part of the educational process and a factor for promoting peace, friendship, cooperation and understanding among people. Colleges from all over India come to the small town of Pilani every year to battle it out for top honours. BOSM provides the ideal platform for college students from all over the nation and abroad to showcase their talents in the field of sports. This year's Meet, held from the 13th to the 17th of September, promises to challenge any preconceived notions about what it means to be an athlete.
Come, take part. With grit and guts, in the pursuit of glory.
BOSM 2012 awaits you.
Let me win,
But if I cannot win,
let me be brave in my endeavour.~JUNOON.
